True Potential upgrades

Since we released Version 4 of True Potential in September we’ve had great feedback from our users. As part of our discussions with these users, we have also looked at ways of further improving it for all our users. I thought it worth sharing these changes with all tpllp.com readers so you can see how we are always improving our system.

We’ve made three exciting additions to True Potential in the past month; all of which will give you new ways of working with your clients. The attached document gives you all the information you’ll need on these additions.

Addition 1: New firm websites

When we first introduced our firm websites we wanted to give you an easy to manage solution which gave your practice a presence on the web. Our new release of the firm sites combines this approach with new powerful levels of customisation.

Features of the site include a new homepage and layout:

A new communication section has been added so that you can write newsletters, updates and blogs:

You can now upload and use your own images throughout the site:

You can also upload PDF documents and link them to your site:

All the other features of the site are the same – for instance you can still upload your own logo or edit/add text throughout.

We are looking to introduce these new sites in the next week. So that we can accurately transfer your data you’ll see that we have frozen the CMS section of the current sites. If you do need to make a change please raise a support ticket and we’ll do it for you.

Addition 2: Bulk secure messaging

Secure messaging has been one of our most popular additions to V4 of True Potential. Giving you and your clients a secure, encrypted messaging interface via their site and yours, it has allowed you all to communicate with your clients in a DPA-friendly manner.

We’ve now extended this service to let you bulk message all (or some if you choose) of your clients at once.

You can do this via the reporting side of True Potential. Simply generate a CRM report and from tonight you’ll see that there will be a new option called “Send bulk secure message”. You will then have the option to enter and send the secure message to the clients selected.

In the same way as the normal secure messaging works your client will be able to view the message via their website and (provided you hold an email address for them on TP) will receive a notification email.

I see this as a really useful marketing tool. You could bulk message clients based on certain CRM reports (e.g. after identifying clients whose mortgages are close to renewal) or you could use it to message all of your clients with regular update messages. You could even send an update message to your clients asking them to view the latest newsletter you have put on your new firm website.

Addition 3: iPhone application is live

As some of you will have seen in the press or via my previous email, our iPhone application is live and available for download via the Apple iStore.

The app itself lets your clients view their entire portfolio and historical data on the move, whilst enjoying the unique benefit of Real Time Valuations for their plans.

To download the app, search for True Potential via your iPhone or through your iTunes software. It is a free download and should only take a minute to install.

Your clients can then log into the app using their unique client details – which are the same as they use for entering their client websites. Don’t forget that this app also works with the iTouch player as well as the iPhone.

If you’d like to demonstrate the app, we also have a demo client setup for  you to use. Login details are:

By the end of the year we are looking to launch similar applications for other mobile devices, including the ever-popular Blackberry and Google Android phones.

We are also looking to create “V2” of the iPhone app, which will give you an adviser view. This adviser view will let you view all of your client’s portfolios from your own iPhone – perfect for giving your clients advice on the move!

  Yes, your firm sites are completely brandable. You can add your own logo and change the images along the left hand side.

  The easy to manage “CMS” system makes this simple to do.
