    Having being delayed for a year by a system that promised the earth and didn't deliver in the slightest, I was reticent to believe some of the hype that surrounded True Potential. Quite simply, I wanted something that made a difference to my business and "did what it said on the tin". True Potential has delivered this. For Great British Finance, one of the big appeals of the system was the user friendly interface that flowed in a straightforward manner.

    Having looked at all the other systems in the industry I was struck by what a slick and simple process True Potential offered.     True Potential has markedly changed the practices of my business. Before we began using it we had a back-office system that was heavily paper based and offered me and my advisers no linkage into our point of sale processes. This was the first thing that appealed to me with True Potential; a joined up, electronic process that gave Broadlands all the information I needed in one place. This linkage also meant that I could share information with my clients through my own live and bespoke websites.

    This benefit has already reaped rewards; a client of mine had recently purchased an investment product and had visited my site for a real time valuation. This gave me an automatic update message, which I used as a prompt to contact this client. He was so impressed with this service that my call actually resulted in a range of new business to be written for him. This form of marketing has given me the flexibility to contact my clients in an intelligent way and allows me to run concerted marketing campaigns and offer a better than ever service for my clients. Another benefit of True Potential has been the commission handling. My office manager previously spent 3 ½ days a week dealing and sorting our payments. This is now down to less than one hour a day. What this has allowed us to do is spend more time than ever working with my firms advisers by being able to develop innovative T&D processes.

    At Moffatts we've always had our own bespoke systems in place, but what we were missing was an opportunity to organise everything easily. This is where True Potential came in. From our first demonstration of the system it was immediately apparent that this was something that would give us the opportunity to organise our entire practice in one place and, having seen other solutions in action, would also allow us to run every part of our advice process – no more clicking in and out of different programs.

    I feel confident that Moffatts is now superbly organised and I now find it simple to complete my financial and regulatory duties as a director. Compliance reports, commission data and other such information is available at the click of a button and doing something such as checking a piece of advice is now appropriately laid out and quick. It's as simple as selecting a case, viewing it online and then instantly marking it. This approach gives me an excellent audit trail and extends across other areas of my busi ess including new business tracking and postsale advice. I have recently had an FSA TCF visit and they were satisfied with my approach and I am in no doubt that I will be able to prove that I'm applying the correct culture at all times.   • Control of our own charging structure.

    Previously we ran a successful IFA practice with a national firm, but made the decision to go direct because we wanted to be in control of our own charging structure. Before True Potential was launched to the market we had created our own systems using applications such as Microsoft Office. However, this didn't give us the control that we wanted, nor did it give us the level of reporting that we felt comfortable with.

    Our files were only linked to one location and it was cumbersome to track cases and client files. This is where True Potential came in. Since we implemented True Potential things have been much easier and we now feel as if we're in control. Everything is now in one place and accessible anywhere. Our working practices now flow and it is a simple process to access what we want, when we want. Paper is now limited in our office and we have managed to dispose of reams of notes and files. Another element that we have embraced is the point of sale tools when in front of our clients. I can now complele our factfind in front of them, ensuring that the data is entered correctly the first time. Because I onlyhave to enter this data once it also allows me to take advantage of things such as completing quick quotes instantly and even submitting the business there and then. This has led to some very impressed looks on my clients faces!

    Over the past 12 months I've been transforming my firm into a leaner, more efficient distribution firm. I already had an electronic system in place, but I found that the point of sale processes were unworkable and the back office system was cumbersome. Not only this, it generated a huge amount of duplication in my records and often involved me having to enter my client details 3 times for each record.
